Cypher beats RazerJ to advance into EMS Finals

Alexey 'Cypher' Yanushevsky last night bounced back after losing the last couple of times versus one of his main opponents Fan 'RazerJ' Zhibo. In round 2 of the winner bracket in the ESL Major Series, Cypher played two solid maps to beat the Chinese aim machine with 2-0.
Already last sunday in the first round match versus Richard 'noctis' Gangsterer, Cypher showed glimpses of his returning shape. Cypher played more aggressive and his aim was getting to a level we all are familiar with from the Belarussian player. Noctis might have considered this match only being a distraction to become the next QuakeLive star, for Cypher it was the ideal warm up towards his match versus Jibo.
And this is exactly how it all panned out. Jibo started good on ZTN taking control for the first minute and a half, but a fight over the mega health turned the tide and indirectly provided Cypher his first frag. Going 2-0 down Jibo around the 4 minute mark again seemed to be in control being fully stacked on both health and armour, but it was Cyphers amazing rail that time after time took away this advantage. Up to the 7th minute Jibo for most of the time was in control, yet Cypher was leading 5-1. This also was the turning point in Jibo's resitance. Cypher felt confident and started to play like in his best days, resulting in a convincing 15-5 win.
The second map, nodm9, was for most of the time a tactical battle in which both players continuously were looking for control of the items. The first frag was made around the 4 minute mark and was introduced by a fight over RA some seconds before in which Jibo lost most of his health. At 6 minutes Jibo had the perfect opportunity to tie the score, but he forgot to chase a very low on hp (21) Cypher. In a stretch of around 6 minutes that followed, Jibo took almost full control of the items and Cypher was doing everything to stay alive and attack Jibo from long distance. A shaft fight at 12.30 mins changed the tide for Cypher, taking back control and fragging Jibo in the following minutes another 2 times while being killed once. End score: 4-2.
Bearing in mind that these two top players never give eachother a single frag for free, we can recommend you to take a look at the demos.
